Patients having lost a tooth, for whatever reason, often come to us. In such cases implants (if available at the clinic) are, of course, the best solution. Patients sometimes, however, do not choose implants. The traditional method of prosthodontics in such situations consists of using bridge-like prostheses, which require the "filing" and crowning of adjacent teeth. It follows that a lost tooth demands the sacrifice of two healthy teeth! Is such a price not too high? An adhesive bridge-like prosthesis can be regarded as an alternative solution of the problem.

Its essence consists of a special glass fibre frame, "glued" to adjacent teeth with the aid of a photopolymer, which serves as a support for the false tooth. The resulting prothesis features somewhat limited recommendability. With proper implementation of the technique and observance of recommendability, such work can last for years.
